Resource Capacity
- The Resource Capacity page has the same layout as the Plan > Resources page, but instead of seeing the availability of resources in a plan, it displays the usage of resources across all plans. The page is available to General Admins and Resource Managers, though only the latter can see those Resource Types to which they have access.
- Normally you will want to display only the Capacity column, but there are other columns which affect availability –
- Demand – The sum of the Budget columns of all plans which are in relevant Workflow Status. There are a number of Admin > General settings to determine which Resource column is used for Demand – Budget/Forecast1/Forecast2/Forecast3/Actual, and which workflows are included when selecting plans for calculation of Demand.
- Public (Holidays) – Set in Admin > Resourcing > Statutory Holidays.
- (Annual) Leave – Set in Admin > Resourcing > Resource Person Details.
- The Capacity cell has a back colour set as follows:
- Low – Blue << White threshold – set in Admin > General.
- Medium – White << Amber threshold – set in Admin > General.
- Warning – Amber << Red threshold – set in Admin > General.
- Alert –
- The Availability for a resource is calculated by ‘Capacity – (Demand + Public Holiday + Annual Leave).
- You can fill all blank capacity cells with the appropriate default capacity, all with one button click. (Capacity cells with values are unaffected). You can also clear all Capacity cells on a page with one button click.
- The default capacity (days/week) of a person comes from the Admin>Resourcing>Resource Person Details if there is a default capacity defined, otherwise from the Resource Type if there is a default capacity defined for the Role otherwise from the Admin > General default capacity (which defaults to 5 days per week).
- As with Plan > Resources, there are lots of fast data entry tools. On the Capacity page, it is always possible to update left of the red line.
