Plan Status

Plan Status field allows organisations to define their own set of statuses to plans, which must have one of four status “types”:

  • Pending Active
  • On-hold
  • Closed

The purpose of the Types is so PM3 knows how to treat each Status field.

The statuses are defined from the Admin > Customisations screen. There is a new table near the top of the page where the admin can add, remove, or edit statuses.

Admins can add as many statuses as they like; however, they cannot modify the core status types. This allows the system to let admins set their plan status to whatever they wish, whilst allowing users to filter by status type when using table filters (e.g. to filter out all “on-hold” plans, regardless of the specific status under status type on-hold).

Once the admin has set up their plan statuses, one of them can be chosen from the Plan > Details screen:

The new fields are purely documentary at present, but do offer in-grid filtering opportunities on the home list screens:

The above example is filtered to only show on-hold projects.

The new fields are also present in the GetPlans DataMart function:

  • PlanStatusName
  • PlanStatusTypeName
