Notifications
Notifications inform you of any Actions that have been assigned to you or an Action you already own has changed. Clicking on the notification’s icon in the top-right (blue bell) will reveal a table of Actions in order of descending created date. Double-clicking on an Action will open it in its full form in the Home > Actions tab.
For notifications to be received via email, all of these must apply:
- The facility must be turned on at the server by us. – to allow us to control it at system level.
- The user must have the ‘Enable Alerts’ field ticket on their record on the Admin > Licenses page – to allow admins to control it at Admin level.
- The user must have the ‘Alerts’ field enabled in the Plan > Team page – to allow PMs to control it at the plan level.
- The user must be either the Owner or Raiser of a Milestone, Task or Action that has gone overdue.
In-browser notifications will show in the bottom-right of the screen regardless of user settings, unless the user blocks notifications when prompted by the browser.
Notifications are created in the following situations:
- When a new Action is created: Notification is sent to the Assignee.
- When information on an Action is changed (change of Assignee, Action Status, Action Delivery Status, Due Date or Action Priority): Notification is sent to the Assignee.
- When an Action becomes overdue: Notification is sent to the Assignee and to the Raiser.
- When a Milestone becomes overdue: Notification is sent to the Milestone Owner and to the Plan Owner (Note: if these are the same person only one Notification is sent)
- When a Task becomes overdue: Notification is sent to the Assignee(s) and the Task’s Raiser.
If ‘Alerts’ are enabled for the user, e-mails will also be sent out.
