The Merged Date column on the Milestone Plan is stores the most ‘important’ date for a milestone, where importance is determined by Planned Date < Revised Date < Date Completed. For example, if the Planned Date and Revised Date were filled in for a milestone, then the value in the Merged Date column would be the Revised Date. See screenshot below for further examples.
