For resource managers, to keep capacity information up to date and reduce the likelihood that Availability will be incorrect, Resource Capacity is now automatically allocated to resources based on their start and end dates.
Resources who have left will now be excluded from capacity planning, making it easier to focus on relevant resources. On the Plan > Resources page, Project Managers will no longer be able to add resource allocations to Resources beyond their contract range. (Such cells are shown with grey hatching). If a resource has no StartDate, then no date is too early for entering allocations. If the resource has no EndDate, then no date is too late. In summary, if there are no Start/End dates defined, then there are no constraints on which dates allocations may be entered.
