Indenting (Grouping) Rows Under a Summary Task

To group rows under a Summary Task

  1. Select any set of rows — this can include Tasks, Milestones, or Summary Tasks.
  2. Right-click the selection and choose "Indent"
or click the Indent icon (blue right arrow).
  3. The selected rows will be moved under the Task, Milestone or Summary Task above

Outdenting (Ungrouping) Rows from a Summary Task

To remove rows from under a Summary Task

      1. Select any set of rows — again, can be Tasks, Milestones, or Summary Tasks.
      2. Right-click the selection and choose "Outdent"
or click the Outdent icon (blue left arrow).
      3. The selected rows will be moved out of the nearest Summary Task above the selection.
      4. If there are no remaining child rows under the Summary Task, it will be converted to a Task

            What Happens When You Indent/Outdent

            • The system will automatically recalculate and update:
              • Start and End dates for the affected Summary Task.
              • All parent Summary Tasks higher in the hierarchy, if applicable.

Moving a Summary Task with Its Children

To move an entire Summary Task along with its child rows

            • Select only the Summary Task row (do not select the children).
            • Then use Indent or Outdent as described above.
