Ability to select a PM3Time template project when exporting to PM3Time has been added. Like all PM3Time integration functionality, this requires your PM3 instance to be linked to a valid PM3Time customer.
Go to the the Plan > Details page > PM3Time integration
Firstly, you must select a client that the PM3Time project will be filed under. This will show you all clients available to your PM3Time customer.
Next, you must select the link mode. There are two options:
- Link Project – the PM3 project will be linked to an existing PM3Time project
- Create Project – a new PM3time project will be created based on the PM3 plan data
Link project works the same as it always has – there is a list of pm3time projects available in the selected PM3Time client, and whichever one is chosen will simply be bound to the pm3 project, with no other changes to either system.
The create project works a little differently. When you set the mode to create, the list of pm3time projects displayed will change.
Instead of showing a list of link-able projects within the selected client, the list will now show all available template projects for your PM3Time customer. If one of these is selected, then upon linking to PM3Time a new project will be created, in the selected client, using the selected project as a template for setting up the project’s tasks.
Additionally, there is an option for No Template. If this is chosen, no template PM3Time project will be used when initialising the new PM3time project (i.e. it will create a blank / empty project).
