Benefit Units

The Benefits Manager can create units of their choice and assign these to Benefits under Admin > Customization (See image below). In previous versions Benefits could be either financial or not.

Such benefits can be aggregated and viewed by units

  • In the portfolio image below. The selected unit is Persons, so only those benefits with a specified unit is displayed and totalled.
  • If the Sum By dropdown default is selected (-- All --) then the page acts as in previous releases

– and all benefits are shown, regardless of type; but summing is applied to those with the IsFinancial flag set. (Selecting the Unit of Financial is like selecting the display on previous versions, but without the non-financial benefits displayed).

  • The Unit dropdown is displayed in Benefits > Benefits Definition and applied to the Benefit.
  • The Unit dropdown is also displayed in Plan > Benefits Definition for optional display.

 

The rows in the Benefit Plan table are pre-populated from the benefits definition sub-tab. NB: Benefit budgets cannot be amended if the plan has reached the third workflow status or beyond.
