Azure Login
If Azure AD login is configured, the login screen will differ from the normal login screen.
The username field is read-only and will show the username that last successfully logged in:
- There will be no password field here – instead clicking the Azure Login will either take you straight into PM3 (if you are already logged into a Microsoft site in another tab of the browser) or otherwise, MS365 will raise a login dialog where the Azure password will be requested.
- The Change User button is useful if you have 2 logins, e.g. one as an Administrator, and you wish to login as a user other than the one displayed.
- Note that Users must also exist in PM3 which controls licences and permissions.
- The login id of the Person in PM3 should match the prefix of the Azure login. o g. PM3 login: bill.jones; Azure login: bill.jones@MyTenant.com
- If this is impossible for some reason, there is a new field on the Admin>Licences page called External Login. In this case, add the prefix of the Azure Login to this field and save. PM3 will automatically match them.
- You cannot have one user with a login which matches the External Login of another. For example, if Person 123 has login jones, then another user e.g. Person 456, must not have an External Login of bill.jones. o PM3 passwords are not used and do not need to match anything on Azure.
