RAG Settings
The Project Charter/Impact Assessments/Implementation/Live/BAU plans use RAG colours setting determines whether or not the delivery status (RAG value) for a plan is shown at the indicated status.
The RAG Status Algorithm defines how Milestone RAG should be calculated as described below, (the default setting for this is RAG Algorithm 1).
The Variance RAG Threshold (Red) setting specifies the percentage at which variance fields in the Resource and Financial details pages appear in Red.
The RAG Status Algorithm defines how RAG should be calculated based on the table shown below:
The Red, Amber and Green ‘traffic lighting’ of WorkStreams, Milestones, Tasks, Risks and Issues is used to indicate the extent to which they are on schedule. Their interpretation depends on the ‘RAG Algorithm’ set up. Your system is supplied with a default RAG Algorithm of 1. Thus, in RAG Algorithm 1, the Delivery Status is calculated as Red if the WorkStream, Milestone, Task, Issue or Risk is late and Amber if it will be late if not completed in the next week. In RAG Algorithm 2, Amber is used to flag a WorkStream, Milestone, Task, Issue or Risk that is up to one week late (after which it is flagged as Red). In RAG Algorithm 3, late WorkStreams, Milestones, Tasks, Issues or Risks are set to Amber (generally meaning ‘late, but not impacting the overall delivery schedule’. In RAG Algorithm 4, late WorkStreams, Milestones, Tasks, Issues or Risks are set to Red. In RAG Algorithm 5, all delivery status lights stay Green. Note that the RAG Algorithms apply to incomplete WorkStreams, Tasks and Milestones and Open Issues and Risks; completed WorkStreams, Milestones and Task Accepted, Closed or Deleted Issues and Risks have a delivery status of Black.
