Financial Status Settings
- The Financial Status settings allow you to enable Capex Controls on the financial status screen, where Capex related filters and views can be included or excluded.
- In an earlier release, the Financial Status page was extended with extra fields such as Drawdown and extra Forecast fields, these radio buttons will determine whether they can be visible.
- The variance algorithm determines how variance is calculated, with three pre-set options, ‘Actual – Budget’, ‘Actual – Forecast’ and ‘Forecast – Budget’. If Extended Forecast is enabled, several extra options are presented using the additional extended fields.
- The Variance percent calculation can be toggled between two options to change which side of the equation to use as the denominator, as per the admin’s preference.
- The “Allow PMs to edit historic records” option defines whether or not project managers are allowed to edit historic periods, up to as far back as the “Allow changes up to X days left of redline” setting defined later on.
- The default source option determines what source (detail-driven or summary-driven) to use by default on the Financial Status screen. The default selection here is “detail-driven”.
- The Financial Status import option allows you to upload financial status data with a slightly different set of columns to the standard upload format. You can check the columns that your current set requires by downloading the template from the financial status import dialog. A summary of the 3 formats are as follows:
- Standard – The standard layout which we recommend. Cells in the import spreadsheet map directly onto cells in the page. This allows any combination of inputs. Most columns are not mandatory. One row in the spreadsheet corresponds to one column in the Financial Status page of one plan.
- Custom A – The original format which has a highly specialised layout. It has one row per plan.
- Custom B – A format which is a simplification of the Standard layout. It has one row per plan, and only Capex and Revex values in the To Date section are provided.
- The Variance algorithm option ‘ActualForcast – Budget‘ calculation is as follows: (Actual+F’Cast – Budget$) ÷ Budget$.
