Authorisation Settings

  • Customers now have the option to use Azure AD to control login to PM3.
  • Customers who so not want to use this option need take no action and can leave the ‘Authoriser’ Default Button set to ‘PM3’.
  • To use this facility:
    1. Customers must maintain their own Azure AD tenant and users within the Microsoft 365 environment. This requires a major commitment by Customer Infrastructure team, and this facility must already be in use on the customer site, before configuring PM3 to use it.
    2. There are some settings required in Admin>General (see below).
      • Your local Azure team will already have a tenant created in Azure. They will be able to provide you with the value for the Tenant field.
      • They will also need to register PM3 within Azure. They will need to talk to BestOutcome to get some information to achieve this. Once complete, they will be able to provide the second field – the Pm3 Application ID.
      • The last field is the URL you normally use to access PM3.
    3. Setting the Authoriser to be ‘Mixed’ will allow pm3 users to login directly via both PM3 or Azure.
